Saturday, August 14, RBLPOA Meeting at Children’s Beach at 9:30am

Community Solar: Hear from Town Councilperson Ralph Smith about Putnam Valley’s new opt-in Community Solar Program. Putnam Valley residents who choose to opt-in to the new program will receive a 10% discount on solar electricity, a $100 signing bonus in the form of a VISA gift card, and a $100 donation to Putnam Valley for each resident who chooses to sign up. How does that work? The short answer is that New York State's goal of a clean electric grid has established policies that compel utilities to purchase solar electricity from third party suppliers if their utility customers choose to purchase that power. As an incentive, the solar farms pass some of those earnings back to the consumer and towns. Interested? Come this Saturday, Aug 14, at 9:30 am and learn more.

RBLPOA Board membership nominations for the 2021 - 2023 term. Hear about the slate of new nominees for the Board. Nominations will also be taken from the floor, provided the nominee has three (3) seconds. (Nominations may also be made by petition signed by 20 RBLPOA members and received within 8 days of the meeting — by 8/22/21).

Suggestions for new RBL District budget items for the 2022 fiscal year will be taken from the floor. The preliminary RBL District budget hearing will be on August 28 at 9 am at Town Hall. We will take suggestions for additions to the RBL District discretionary budget items at the meeting.
