Next RBLPOA meeting Saturday, Aug. 15 at 9:30 am
Our next RBLPOA virtual meeting for the 2020 season will be on Saturday, Aug. 15, at 9:30 am.
In the first part of the meeting, we’ll focus on invasive species around RBL. Brent Boscarino of the NYNJ trail conference will join us. Brent is a terrific speaker and passionate about the harm that invasive species can do to the environment. He will show us how to identify the most common types in our area and how to mange them. Would you like to remove the invasive vines on your property? Would you like to join a volunteer task force to remove invasive plants from public property on RBL? Then, this is your meeting!
In the second half of the meeting, we’ll prepare for the preliminary RBL District budget meeting, scheduled for August 21. Do you have a suggestion for something you think we should add to the budget?
Have you seen these invasive plants?
Japanese stilt grass. Looks innocent, makes thousands of seeds.
Oriental bittersweet in the autumn. Looks beautiful, acts bad.
