State of the Lake this Saturday!

Please join us at the Putnam Valley Town Hall on Saturday, June 24 at 10am for one of the most important meetings of the year: the State of the Lake presentation by our lake supervisor AJ Reyes. At this meeting, AJ will walk us through how best to maintain and improve our most important asset: our lake. Your attendance will also serve as a reminder to the county just how much we care about our lake’s health overall. We’ve been enjoying the unfurling summer around us – from bluebirds singing to cattails growing in the lake – and we hope we can all continue to support that nature for many years ahead. Please do come in person if you can.

For those unable to make it, we’ll send out a video after it’s been posted to the town’s site. And if you have any questions you’d like to submit in advance, feel free to contact us at admin@rblpoa.com.

On July 19th, the town will have a public discussion on its proposal for regulations on short-term rentals in the county. As Watching Putnam Valley reports:

The town board published a detailed proposal that would require homeowners wishing to rent out their homes for less than 30 days to obtain a special use permit from the town's Planning Board, as well as a short-term rental (STR) permit from the town's Building Department. The public is encouraged to weigh in on the proposal at a hearing on July 19th at 6pm at Town Hall. The public hearing period will probably remain open after that to allow for more discussion.

Have you paid your RBLPOA dues yet? Please do! It’s $35 for an annual membership. Follow this link to submit your dues now!
